Consultant Workforce
This graph and regional data show the growth of
the consultant workforce over the past five years. The
figures represent the NHS consultant workforce on 30 September of
each year. Doctors working totally outside the NHS, for
example, those that are undertaking research or working in the
private sector are not included.
This data set shows the size of a specialty,
whether or not it is growing and indicates the prevalence of less
than full time working in that specialty.
