The GMC- approved postgraduate training curriculum for rheumatology is available online.

Training pathway

Trainees complete either core medical training or the acute care common stem in acute medicine (ACCS) and enter training in rheumatology at ST3 level.*

Length of training

The indicative length of training for rheumatology is seven full time years from ST1 (five years from ST3).

Qualifications

MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.  MRCP (UK) or equivalent.
