Training pathway
Trainees follow either core medical training
or the acute care common stem in acute medicine (ACCS) and enter
renal medicine training from ST3 level.*

Length of training
Curriculum competencies will usually be
achieved within a five-year programme commencing at ST1, including
three years of clinical nephrology starting at ST3.
Qualifications
MBBS or equivalent medical
qualification. MRCP (UK) or equivalent.
