The GMC-approved postgraduate training
for renal medicine is available online.
Trainees follow either core medical training
or the acute care common stem in acute medicine (ACCS) and enter
renal medicine training from ST3 level.*

Curriculum competencies will usually be
achieved within a five-year programme commencing at ST1, including
three years of clinical nephrology starting at ST3.
