The GMC-approved postgraduate training curriculum for clinical pharmacology and therapeutics is available online.

Training pathway

Trainees complete either core medical training or the acute care common stem in acute medicine (ACCS) and enter training in clinical pharmacology and therapeutics at ST3 level.*

Length of training

The indicative length of specialty training for clinical pharmacology and therapeutics is four years.

Qualifications

MBBS or equivalent medical qualification. 
MRCP (UK) or equivalent.
