Achieving a career with several rolesDr Meng Aw Yong

Dr Meng Aw-Yong became an SAS Doctor to enable him to undertake a number of very different roles at the same time.

Currently, Meng is an Associate Specialist in Emergency Medicine at Hillingdon Hospital he also works as the Medical Director for Forensic Healthcare Services of the Metropolitan Police, as a Forensic Medical Examiner, Medical Advisor to the St John’s Ambulance charity and also a Crowd Doctor at Queen’s Park Rangers.

 

Achieving a balanced family lifeDr Tritton

Dr Denise Tritton became an SAS Doctor to enable her to better balance her work commitments and the needs of her family - having set working hours and no on-call are important  to her.

Denise is an Associate Specialist  in Paediatric Oncology and Haematology for the Oxford University Hospitals Trust working 3 days a week and is  also the SAS Tutor for the Trust, actively supporting other SAS doctors in their careers.
